Dr. Shashidhar completed his undergraduate degree from the prestigious Mysore Medical College and then went on to do his MS from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (MINTO) a part of Bangalore Medical College. He then went on to his fellowship in Vitreo Retina from MINTO(BMC)

He started his career as a senior resident at MINTO and presently a professor and Chief of Vitreo Retina in MINTO(BMC).

Dr. Shashidhar has a number of research publications in his name. He has guided and still guiding many students in the field of Ophthalmology.
